Home is hard for Tess Lanier to go back to. The Place where her mother died shortly after her birth and the place where sunlit memories clash with shadowed secrets. When her dying grandfather asks her to go back, she cannot refuse. Whether she likes it or not she will face the past because only by doing this will she be free to face the future.
This is a fine author, but I must admit I found the story heavy going. Try the book for yourself.
