This is the first of a three part series featuring three women with psychic abilities on a planet that utilizes all types of psychic powers. This world was colonized by people from earth via the "Curtain". Once on the planet they either adapt or they die. Now two hundred years later our story opens. Each book will take one young woman and a protagonist of no mean order. Once again Ms. Castle provides us with a science fiction reality that combines some of the best parapsychology and romantic themes. Read one, and like a good bon bon, you're bound to reach for the other two.
Actually four books and a short story is in this series, until she adds another book to the series. "Amaryllis", "Zinnia" & "Orchid" are the first three books in this series, very good reads making you want more. The short story "Bridal Jitters" in Charmed 1999, continues on the same planet or one so close to it it should be the same. After Dark is the last book out in the series and seems to set up, in my mind, for at least 2-3 more books.
