This book is astounding. No other word covers all the unbelieveable things that are described and explained. It's the true story of Lawrence K. Lunt's 14 year stay as a prisoner in Castro's Cuban prisons. Everyone's heard stories of the terrible conditions, sacrifices, and dictators' senseless abuses. This book, however, covers the whole gambit as it was experienced first hand.

The book reads like some sort of hollywood "I've hit rock bottom" type story. It is also embelished with facts and timeline information that bring it home in almost gory detail. There's almost too much to believe. Of course, this is overshadowed by the first hand accounts given, and the various political powers that were involved, which only stand to verify that it's all real, and all happened just 90 miles of our Florida coast.

An incredible journey, that never leaves the tiny island nation, that has to be read to be fully appreciated. This one is a hit with me. For non-fiction lovers, it will surely be a favorite. For those that don't like non-fiction, give this one a try anyway. It's so fantastic, it almost reads like fiction. You'll most certainly wonder how it could have really happened.
