DECEPTIONS

By: Susan Sizemore
Science Fiction/Fantasy
Review By: Ingram

During her long reign as the Enforcer of Washington, D.C., the vampire Olympias has never had anyone challenge her authority--until now. Her devoted human servant questions her command, and a secret government project is on the verge of exposing the vampires' existence. Now, a dangerous man with an ancient grudge plots to overthrow her and set up a new Enforcer.

Review By: Empress

Sizemore is back with the latest installment of her Laws of Blood series. In the words of that old commercial phrase "Try it, you’ll like it". With each book in this series we learn more about the Strigoi and their place in the "normal" world. This book deals with the Enforcer of Washington, D.C. Olympias is more of a Political Interest Consultant than she is a cop. While she has been working the Strigoi political agenda, there is a revolt brewing in her own back yard. Susan Sizemore has done an excellent job combining Vampires, politics in the Halls of Power, the CIA, and the Big Lie (scary to think it could be real). This is a fine addition to a really interesting series.

Liked the others in the series but for some reason this ones drags along.
