BEAST MASTER'S ARK

By: Andre Norton & Lyn McConchie
Science Fiction/Fantasy
Review By: Ingram

The adventures of Beast Master Hosteen Storm, hero of Andre Norton's "Beast Master" and "Lord of Thunder, " have thrilled SF readers for decades. Now, introduced in a terrific new adventure, is Tani, daughter of a heroic Beast Master who died to save a planet from the same Xik invaders who destroyed Storm's homeworld, Earth.

Review By: Empress

Andre Norton has always been one of the best Sci-Fi/Fantasy authors. This newest book is one of her very best. Several years ago she introduced the Beast Masters adventures. In this volume she brings us up to date with that world. We meet Hosteen Storm again, along with the animals he has bonded to. There is an enemy with a silent weapon that kills leaving no true traces. Part of the solution may be found in the genetic engineering ship, the Ark. I enjoyed this book very much. Not only do we have strong characters, well drawn, but the story line keeps one interested in the fate of not just the characters, but the planet. Hip, Hip, Hooray for Ms. Norton and Ms. McConchie. They have a real winner on their hands.
