Louis L'Amour Louis L'Amour was born Louis Dearborn L'Amour. He left his home town of Jamestown, North Dakota at the age of fifteen. Over the years he's held jobs as a longshoreman, lumberjack, elephant handler, hay shocker, fruit picker, and was an officer on tank destroyers during WWII. Of course, we are most familiar with him as a prolific author of western novels.

L'Amour has traveled widely, studied archaeology, and compiled the biographies of over 1000 Western gunfighters. Over 30 of his works have been made into movies.

The linked pages at the right of this page will take you to lists of his works of four kinds. The first is to his popular short stories. Next, you will find links to his SACKETTS series, the HOPALONG CASSIDY series, and his stand alone novels. Also provided are links to his poetry and non-fiction titles. Some were written about him, not actualy by him, and are noted as such.

As more details about the works can be assembled, they will be posted here for viewing. Links will also be provided to check our available stock of the books listed.
